1. Prepare the vehicle
Put the car in Park (P) and sit inside with your iPhone.

2. Copy the VIN and add the vehicle
Open the official Tesla app, copy the 17-digit VIN and paste it into Tespit.

3. Confirm the key
Confirm the new vehicle key inside the car using the physical key card.

No Tesla login required in Tespit.
Pairing happens locally over Bluetooth Low Energy and only has to be done once per vehicle. Tespit uses neither your Tesla account nor a cloud server of its own for this.
Model S and Model X built before 2021 don't have the required Bluetooth interface and are not supported.

The NFC reader sits in a different spot depending on model and model year. Choose your vehicle and see the correct position.

The Android app offers the same feature set as the iOS app. Development is largely complete; only final optimisations, adjustments and tests remain. The Google Play release is planned for Friday, 25 September 2026. The public beta is already available on Google Play.

The current version brings new features and polish – here are the highlights.
Version 1.1.10 adds the new Energy cockpit, more precise navigation with traffic data, the first OBD vehicle-data integration and a more robust vehicle connection.
- New Energy cockpit with consumption, energy flow and driving history for a trip, 50, 100, 150 or 300 km.
- Traffic data is highlighted with colours on the map so dense traffic and jams are visible at a glance.
- OBD integration begins: supported adapters can be configured in Settings and used as an additional vehicle-data source.
- The full-screen map can now be opened and closed more quickly with a swipe in the Standard cockpit.
- More precise route guidance, with the gauge and directions positioned according to the selected driver side.
- Cockpit layouts, the top bar, 12-hour time display, Split view, Speedway charging animation and support for different device sizes have been refined.
- Bluetooth reconnect, charging detection and live vehicle-data handling are more stable.
- Three-digit speeds are displayed completely again in the Standard cockpit.
- Numerous issues around Settings, navigation, cockpits, vehicle data and rendering were fixed.
